Pupils from Haberdashers’ Aske’s School, Elstree, raise cash for KidzCare Tanzania

For some teenagers, the thought of traipsing through central London in the freezing cold is enough to give them the chills.
But eager year eleven students from Haberdashers’ Aske’s School, Elstree, spent the day doing just that to raise cash for charity KidzCare Tanzania.
The 15 pupils were given various starting points across London – from Wimbledon Tennis Courts to Highgate Cemetery – and had to find their way back to school unscathed.
But in a twist, they had to reach their final destination using imaginative ways – such as shopping trolleys, blindfolded walking and kick-scooters.
On the way they collected cash from passers by.
After reaching the end of their obstacle course and arriving back at the Butterfly Lane school, they were treated to a pizza party.
Teachers and students are still counting up the amount raised, which is believed to be around £4,000.
