People looking to take up an unusual hobby this New Year can learn more about beekeeping thanks to the town council.

Hertfordshire Beekeepers Association has joined forces with Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council to hold a free seminar for people to learn more about the animals.

Anyone is invited to come along to Fairway Hall, Brook Close, Borehamwood, on Wednesday January 16 at 7.30pm.

It's a shame you keep showing a BUMBLE bee rather than a HONEY bee to illustrate this news.
The Bumble bee is a wild species and doesn't produce that much honey, whereas the Honey bee has been kept through the centuries for their prolific honey making potential.
Beekeepers don't keep bumble bees!
