As the gloomy January weather begins to take its toll, two kind-hearted people are offering sun-seekers the chance to win a holiday – all in aid of charity.
Hertsmere Mayor Pat Strack and Councillor Sandra Parnell have joined forces with Alan Cook Travel Agents, in Shenley Road, to raise cash for the Herts Air Ambulance.
People are being given the chance to buy raffle tickets to win the holiday of a lifetime, worth up to £10,000.
Only 1,000 tickets, which cost £25 each, are available to buy and the winner will be announced on Saturday, March 9.
All proceeds raised from the sale of tickets will go to the air ambulance, which relies on public donations and costs around £30,000 to operate per week.
To buy tickets, phone Pat Strack on 0208 386 3151, Sandra Parnell on 0208 953 0832 or Lorraine Ginger on 0208 297 7477.
