Man attacked near Hartforde Road, Borehawmood

A man was mugged in a brutal attack as he walked through an alleyway yesterday morning.

The 30-year-old was walking between Hartforde Road and Caishow Road, Borehamwood, when he saw two men approaching him.

As they passed him, one hit him on the back of his head knocking him to the ground, while the second pinned him to the floor and stole his wallet.

The first offender is described as white, just under 6ft tall and of medium build with short brown hair. He wore black jeans and white Reebok classic trainers which had a blue stripe.

The second man is also white, and of similar height and build with short dark hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call the police on the non-emergency number 101.

This guys hang around the the shops at Hartforde Road, you will see them often. Their friends live in the vicinity of the top of Thirsk Road. Beware!

Also would the Times like to update their headline as it says "man attached" I think this should read "attacked" lol.

you can just bet that the perpetrators of this latest low rent crime are members of the bulldog breeding, crap tracksuit wearing, cheap chicken take away eating, £200 car with obligatory loud exhaust fraternity. these pin-heads should be shot on sight, in fact the women responsible for their birth and the rasta from Neasden that knocked her up should also be tied up and chucked in the thames. these cretinous plebs are ruining what was once a respectable working class town..

I agree trouble is the parents are high on drugs or drunk. They are all probably low life red necks. Its time that we as a community took a stand and gave these scum a piece of their own medicine. My wife had her handbag stolen from our car and even though I had a perfect image on CCTV from outside Dominoes the police did nothing about it.

Like many people, you wrongly assumed you could count on the help of the police in these sort of instances. Sadly, the only justice possible in a town like borehamwood is that commensurate with the law of the jungle, meaning if you can't physically kick arse yourself you are there to be robbed, jeered and jostled by an underclass of educationally subnormal parasites. Mercifully, these twits can be spotted or smelt a mile off by their naff clothes and the reek of low grade skunk. The brace of unruly bulldogs and mouthy 4 or 5 year olds walking alongside is another give-away that you are dealing with a gold standard borehamwood chav, because borehamwood has been a purveyor of chav's for many years, by royal appointment don't you know?

So, everyone knows exactly who these blokes are? Yet the police will do nothing significant to deter what is literally daylight robbery on our streets? I am no angel myself, but nicking from 'your own' really is the lowest type of behaviour. I have a friend who lives in that neighbourhood who tells me not a nice place to be..

I was mugged myself in the alleyway beside the Toby inn. I was attacked by about 12 or more young teenagers and was defending myself when one of them hit me on the back of the head with a lump of wood. Two young girls took my phone from my pocket and called the ambulance then put it back in my pocket (proves not all kids are bad). Because I had been drinking the paramedic did not examine me properly and the police officer took me home. It wasn't until next morning I realised there was a split in the back of my head and my wallet had gone. Some of those kids live at the top of Thirsk Road.

from what my son tells me when he comes home from hertswood school , the majority of kids there are either chavy or outright aggressive and abusive bullys or both

lived in this town all my life, stayed here for family reasons. it has been turned from a respectable and actually quite nice town (as satellite towns go) into a borderline ghetto in places, but only by the clueless stupidity of the naff chav underclass: absolute bottom feeding scum with their laughable 'fighting dogs' (no self respecting dog fighting man uses staffies ffs) and those crap ill fitting tracksuits they live in! how scruffy do they look ffs? most of these knobheads couldn't fight for toffee but hunt in large packs and pick their targets very carefully. even though i am old enough to know better i have enjoyed clumping one or two of these sh*t kicking losers when they have tried it on. i find them a laughable but annoying part of living locally, trust me, almost all of them would run a mile if you fronted them up, i actually feel these scum are so below the rest of us it is permissible to just treat them like vermin and slap them about to get the desired result...

I hope the police catch the scum that are responsible for this attack and the victim is recovering well.
Not all children that attend the local school are chav and troublemakers, . Every school have a few "problems" and yes I have a child in the school who is poliet, well mannered and in line for an amazing future because of stable family that encourages them and a desire to learn! The problems arise when too many children are sadly unloved and have no guidelines on how to behave these troublesome 5 year olds are the low life scum of the future and it doesnt matter what school they attend as their parents do not know how to be a responsible parent!
Borehamwood has pockets of trouble but all in all its not a bad area and there are still law abiding people that live here.......I m sure all that have posted on this thread are a nice bunch :)

the chav problem is an escalating one, these idiots breed like rabbits remember! borehamwood is on the fast track down unless some form of action is taken.. perhaps we could stop selling dog food and cut price sportswear here, then the chavs might move to an area where they could find vendors for the tat they love to buy...? that crap market should go too, it attracts the wrong kind too!

Boreham-wood its not the best place on earth but there are some good people and a place is as good as the people who live there, is very different from any other place in England.

There is nothing wrong with Borehamwood, crime is far worse in other local towns. The point is how much longer has any town got to tolerate these mindless thugs. The authorities are either unable to solve this problem, or they simply don't care.

Just because other towns have crime, does that make it ok? If i shat in your pocket, would you be less angry if you subsequently discovered i had dropped a 'deuce' in a few other peoples 'sky-rockets' too?

I was not saying that it is acceptable, just pointing out that this town is not as bad as people paint it. I spent 30 years in Millton Keynes and was born in Watford. I know what bad really means believe me.
