People flocked to a Winnie the Pooh-themed tree planting event to mark the end of the Diamond Jubilee year on Friday.

Members of the Aldenham Country Park Trust gathered at the North Pole, near the 100 Aker Wood, in Elstree, to plant the oak tree.

The rain did not stop attendees including MP James Clappison, Hertsmere Mayor Pat Strack, chair of Aldenham County Park Clive Butchins, and other Hertsmere councillors from turning up to the event.
