5:16pm Tuesday 4th December 2012 in News By Anna Slater
A broken down train at Blackfriars that left passengers stranded for up to an hour this morning is still causing problems on the Thameslink route.
The train broke down at 7.45am, temporarily suspending services to and from London, and commuters at Radlett, Borehamwood, Hendon, and Mill Hill, were faced with delays as workers tried to fix the problem.
The service was reinstated around 9.30am, much to the delight of passengers who had been stuck on trains for an hour, but trains are still running with delays of up to 50 minutes.
A spokeswoman for First Capital Connect said trains were were not expected back to normal until 6pm.
