The Christmas lights of Borehamwood will be switched on later this week to start the festive season.

The ceremony on Sunday December 2 will also have a number of activities for people to enjoy, with a family fun event taking place from 2pm to 7pm outside All Saints Church, Shenley Road.

Families will be able to enjoy festive fun with free entertainment organised by Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council including an ice rink, a vintage carousel and performance from Borehamwood Brass.

At 4pm the Christmas lights in Shenley Road, Manor Way, Leeming Road and Elstree High Street, will be switched on by Mayor of Elstree and Borehamwood Town Councillor Charles Kelly.
