When artist Leigh Warman's son was rushed to hospital with appendicitis, it gave him the inspiration for his next work.

The father-of-two has painted 50 hospital walls across the country, but his most recent piece was closer to home than most - a new mural at Watford General Hospital's children's accident and emergency ward.

Mr Warman, of Newberries Avenue, spent six weeks painting the circus scene in the ward.

Holby City actress Lauren Drummond, who plays nurse Chantelle Lane in the BBC hospital drama, came to the hospital to unveil the wall.
