Dyslexic Philip Ringguth graduates from University of Hertfordshire with first class honours

A man who struggled with dyslexia throughout his school years has graduated from university with a first class honours degree.

Philip Ringguth, of Barnet Lane, Borehamwood, graduated from a Marketing and Advertising course at the University of Hertfordshire this week.

The 26-year-old says his accomplishments are extra special as he battled with the learning difficulty, which can cause problems with reading and spelling, from a young age.

He added: “Deciding to do this course was one of the best decisions I ever made. I took advantage of the learning support facilities offered.

“This was particularly helpful as it taught me how to effectively balance my work and even offered advice on my next steps following my final year.”

Mr Ringguth, who graduated at St Alban's Abbey, is now looking forward to starting an internship with ski brand Salomon.
