Film premiere of Up There screened at Reel Cinema, Shenley Road, Borehamwood
As they rolled the red carpet, you could have easily mistaken the scene for a posh cinema in Leicester Square.
But in what was a first for Borehamwood, a film premiere was held at Reel Cinema, in Shenley Road, last night, after fans won a competition to host it there.
Hundreds of celebrities, residents and council officials flocked to the first ever screening of Up There, an English comedy.
The £1m film, shot in Newport in Glasgow, tells the story about what happens when you die and one man’s mission to get ‘up there’.
After the film had ended, viewers were given the chance to ask the cast questions about the film.
Aymen Hamdouchi, who plays the character Rash, said: “It was fun playing dead while it lasted.”
Guests, including town council Mayor Charles Kelly, were then led to a champagne reception to mingle with the cast and crew.
