Glitz, glamour and red carpets will be coming to Borehamwood when a film premiere is hosted at a cinema.
Reel Cinema, in Shenley Road, Borehamwood, won the chance to screen Up There for the first time after fans voted via social networking sites.
The cinema fought off strong competition from Birmingham and Glasgow coming a close second and third, and staff in Borehamwood were thrilled to have been picked.
Reel manager Kailash Suri said: “We are delighted that we will host the UK premiere of Up There.
“It is an amazing opportunity to bring the BAFTA Scotland nominated film to our audience.
“It is a real gem of a story and we will be sure to give it the treatment it deserves.”
The film, directed by Zam Salim, tells the story of the late Martin (Burn Gorman) who dreams to get “up there” – but has to win a game before making it to heaven.
Earlier this year, the film was handed the Best Independent Film award at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in America.
The film will be premiering on Monday, November 12.
