The FA Cup will be in Borehamwood on Thursday as football fever grips the town.
The famous trophy will pay a visit to Tesco, in Shenley Road, after Boreham Wood FC earned a place in the First Round proper against League One side Brentford.
Supporters will be able to meet Boreham Wood’s Assistant Manager Luke Garrard and Midfielder Chez Isaacs and have their photo snapped with the iconic cup.
Boreham Wood gaffer, Ian Allinson, said: “I have told the boys to just enjoy all the attention whilst it lasts but to always remember that in the FA Cup, winning is the only goal they need to focus on.
“When you are the underdog like we are, and nobody gives you a chance, we must believe and we do. So if our supporters turn up, the magic of the cup can take over and the shock will happen somewhere and, with a little bit of luck, it could be us.”
The cup will be in the supermarket from 10am to 1pm.
