    Pensioner injured in Borehamwood hit-and-run

A hit-and-run in Borehamwood left a 75-year-old woman with serious injuries last week.

The incident, near the Elstree Film Studios, in Shenley Road, happened at around 4am last Wednesday, March 12.

The vehicle, described only as a black car, drove off after colliding with the woman.

She suffered serious hand injuries and an injury to her head and right leg. She was taken to Barnet Hospital but was later released.

PC Philip Watts, who is investigating the collision, said: "We are treating this incident extremely seriously and I would urge anyone who may have seen it take place, knows anything about it, or has a description of the car, to come forward. Please get in touch."

Anyone with information should contact PC Watts on 0845 33 00 222 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
