FILM enthusiasts have the chance to see a Thai movie poster exhibition during the next few weeks.
The exhibition at the Horniman Museum, London Road, Forest Hill, was opened on January 6 and will run until February 4.
The posters on display are just some of the thousands collected by Neil Pettigrew from Sydenham.
Mr Pettigrew collected the posters during his travels around south-east Asia during the past 10 years.
Spokesman for the museum Vicky Bailey said: "Unlike in the west, film posters in Thailand are hand-painted by artists, and signed by the artists themselves.
"The imagery and artistic skills used in the posters are of a very high standard, even though they are only displayed for a week."
The posters advertise Hollywood films which have been translated, such as Apocalypse Now, as well as Thai versions of European and Japanese films from the 1940s to 1980s.
