The Village Moonlighters are an amateur pantomime company with more than 20 years of experience and now they bring you The Three Musketeers: La Pantomime.
The production is a reimagining of the novel by Alexandre Dumas, but with a whimsical twist that will make this classic tale fun for all the family, profits will go toward supporting local charities.
The show tells the story of D’Artagnan, an ambitious young gallant looking to join the ranks of the King’s Musketeers. But there’s foul play afoot, as the evil Cardinal Richlieu and his cohorts hatch a scheme to overthrow the throne of France.
Will they succeed, or will they be thwarted by D’Artagnan and his new friends? Will our hero win the heart of Constance, the girl of his dreams? Will the dame, Madame Gigi, ever get that lipstick off before work in the morning?
“This is a great all-ages production,” says Aimee Fitzpatrick, producer of the Village Moonlighters amateur dramatic group. “We’ve had so much fun putting it together and we’re confident that the audience will love it just as much as we do, no matter their age.”
Henderson Memorial Hall, High Street, Abbots Langley, WD5 0AR, Thursday, January 12 until Saturday, January 14. Details: thevillagemoonlighters.co.uk
