Olympian celebrations start early in Harrow as the 350-strong, combined Tonic Choirs present Tonic Sings the Rings, a medley of songs arranged by musical director Bryan Kesselman, which represents the regions of the world, corresponding to the five Olympic rings.
The choir will sing two concerts, the first on Saturday, March 3 at the St George’s Centre in Harrow at approximately 11.15am and again at 12noon.
Alongside the choir will be representatives of local spinal injury charity, Aspire, which is an accredited training centre for this year’s Paralympics.
On Sunday, March 4 the choir is also taking part in Voices Now, featuring 24 choirs and more than 1,000 singers. The concert is at the Roundhouse, Camden and is part of Music Nation, a countdown event for the finale of the Cultural Olympiad.
Both events are free.
