Distinguished concert organist Jane Parker-Smith (right) is coming to St Albans this weekend to perform as part of the International Organ Festival Society series.
After studying at the Royal College of Music in London, Jane continued her tuition in Paris under legendary blind organist Jean Langlais.
Making her London debut at Westminster Cathedral at the age of 20, Jane went on to make her first solo appearance at the BBC Promenade Concerts in the Royal Albert Hall aged 22. She has gone on to appear at international festivals and has worked with prestigious musicians such as Sir Simon Rattle and Richard Hickox.
The programme includes Sandvold: Introduction and Passacaglia, Franck: Prière, Liszt: Mephisto Waltz no.1, Soro: Andante appassionato and Guilmant: Sonata no.1 in D minor.
The concert takes place at St Albans Cathedral, Holywell Hill, St Albans on Saturday, February 18 at 5.30pm. Details: http://organfestival.com
