The Octagon Music Society has announced the programme for their 39th season of classical chamber music.

On October 14 the Watford society’s season begins with a solo recital by the young guitarist Sean Shibe, winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society Award for Best Young Artist in May 2018.

The popular Castalian Quartet make a return visit on November 18 when they will play string quartets by Mozart, Faure and Beethoven.

Then on March 10, the young flautist Charlotte Ashton will give a recital with pianist William Vann. Charlotte, a former Purcell School pupil, is now on the cusp of a major career as a concert artist.

The internationally acclaimed violinist Chloe Hanslip and pianist Danny Driver bring the season to a close on April 14. This is their first OMS concert.
