The Enfield-based developer’s Pulse development in Colindale was highly commended in the ‘Best first-time buyer home’ category at the London Evening Standard’s New Homes Awards, which took place at The Dorchester Hotel in Park Lane on Friday, May 15th.

Meanwhile, across town at London’s Guildhall, the developer also scooped an award at the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) awards for London. Manjari Patel, a technical manager at Pulse, was named LABC Site Supervisor of the Year.

Jim Holliday, Sales and Marketing Director for Fairview, said: “It is always wonderful when our developments are recognised with an award, so to receive two awards on the same day is a real honour and we are all truly delighted.

“Pulse has been a flagship development for us and we are extremely proud of the vibrant, thriving community which we have created there.

“To have our efforts recognised not once but twice on the same day is a real commendation to everyone who has been involved in the development of Pulse.”

The Evening Standard’s New Homes Awards take place annually and are judged by property experts and readers of the newspaper with recent buying experience.

The ‘Best first time buyer home’ category recognises lower-priced yet outstanding starter homes that do not compromise on style and construction quality.

The LABC Site Supervisor of the Year award recognises site supervisors and technical managers who have stood out by going above and beyond the call of duty to ensure an outstanding working relationship with the local authority.

Following her victory at the London awards ceremony, Manjari Patel will now go forward to the national final of the LABC awards.

Fairview began work on Pulse, which is located adjacent to Colindale Underground Station, off Colindale Avenue, in 2010. In total, the development will comprise 1,087 apartments and six commercial units.

Fairview is now selling homes at Varsity, the final phase at Pulse, and is set to move across the road to build its Edition development on the former British Newspaper Library site.
