The photographs in this exhibition were taken by 11 teenage mothers as they took part in workshops using a camera to discover more about themselves and their children.
A professional portrait photographer worked with the women, aged 15 to 19, for 14 weeks, showing them how to use a camera with direction and control.
The scheme was run by community-based organisation Power Play Productions with funding from the Department for Education and Skills' Big Mediabox fund, and allowed mothers to take cameras away between sessions to experiment at home.
Keisha Varleigh, 19, from Tottenham, was one of those who took part in the scheme, photographing her seven-month-old son Caréll.
She says: "Before when you took pictures you just wanted your child to smile. Now it's more about taking pictures of what he's doing, seeing the little things and how he's developing. It's more than just taking a picture - it's telling a story."
Power Play's artistic director Issy Harvey says: "One of the aims of the scheme was to make the mothers more aware of how their children communicate and what they need; that it's not simply about the clothes you put them in.
"But at the same time the exhibition is a collection of images that are interesting and fresh, taken by people who we don't often see with the camera in their hands."
