I am so tired. Not just tired like you’ve not had a great night’s sleep tired, but exhausted. Weary. Fatigued. Worn-out. Done.

I read a story yesterday about a dog who swallowed a two-foot stick.

It’s funny what being pregnant does to you. As someone who was on the verge of destroying every air conditioning system ever made and the person who cleverly invented it, it came as quite a surprise to me that it has now become my friend.

Now that there is no denying that I am in the family way, myself and my pregnancy have become the chosen topic of conversation. This weekend myself and my husband decided it was time to seriously consider transforming the spare room into a nursery. Being a curious person I am so keen to know the sex of the baby, despite opting not to find out.

Wow wow wow. This weekend played host to one of those incredible moments that I’ve been talking about and hoping to experience. I actually felt the baby kick, properly. Not little bubbles popping or butterfly motions but a big fat proper kick.

I have just experienced one of those defining and pivotal moments in the pregnancy period. Yesterday I went, husband in tow, to the 20 week scan.
