Big Brother fans Paul Burton and Paul Wilder and reporter Su Sharma give the low-down on the latest antics of the housemates in Borehamwood's most famous house. |
5:01pm Thursday 9th July 2009
Halfwit (the housemate formerly-known as Freddie) has always entertained me since the day he entered the compound. And it now appears that he has finally managed to endear himself to his fellow housemates.
During the early hours of Wednesday morning, Halfwit had his hair shaved off and a cool makeover was given to him by some of his fellow housemates.
History has shown that a makeover (including a drastic use of the hair clippers) often heralds the start of a real transformation for a housemate. This year it appears that it is Halfwit is the housemate who is experiencing his own journey of a re-discovery in the house.
Previously, Halfwit has been about as popular with his fellow housemates has a basic shopping budget, but the fact that he seems more calmer now and was willing to undergo a cool make-over has made him more popular with the likes of Noirin, Karly - and even Kris!
Having previously survived the public vote four times, I think he will survive for a record fifth time in a row. I hope so as I'd like to see this housemate in the final.
It is no secret that Charlie, Dogface, Halfwit, Kris and Marcus all face the public vote this week. Personally I think Marcus should take the walk of shame this Friday night.
Having been relieved of Sree last Friday, Noirin now appears to be suffering from having a love-sick Marcus following her around night and day.
With rejection comes frustration and irritation - and I would argue that Marcus is suffering from both of the aforementioned symptoms!
I personally don't think Noirin does herself any favours. She should have made it clear from the very start to both Sree and Marcus that she is not interested in them - or indeed anyone else in the house! This might have prevented heartache for the guys in question - and the viewers who have had to endure their rejection.
Moody and quiet, irritable and argumentative, Marcus has been all of these things recently as a result of his frustration of not being able to get closer to Dubliner, Noirin.
I am personally amazed that Marcus wasn't thrown out of the house for the way he spoke to Big Brother, as well as Sree.
Out of all the housemates up for eviction this week, I think that Marcus the window fitter should go. By his own admission he's had enough and has said he's not enjoying the tasks anymore.
Taxi for Marcus!
