Big Brother fans Paul Burton and Paul Wilder and reporter Su Sharma give the low-down on the latest antics of the housemates in Borehamwood's most famous house. |

What is it about Halfwit that keeps people wanting to vote for him to stay? He has a dry sense of humour and he can hold an intellectual conversation, which is always welcome in the Big Brother house, but to save him from eviction four times?
The only reason I can think of is he’s not a bully. This year hardcore fans of the show have bombarded Big Brother chat forums with the plea to keep all the interesting/mouthy contestants on the show. This clearly is a backlash against all nice people, like last year’s winner Rachel Rice.
Sree, Sophia, Cairon and Angel didn’t stand a chance against Halfwit because they all either consciously or sub-consciously had bullying traits in their personalities. Sophia made the mistake of getting into an argument with Saffia, who then promptly left the house citing the need to be with her children.
Cairon stood up to Sree and made himself look like a bully of which his naive anger was to blame and Russian boxer Angel didn’t endear herself to the females of the world telling Noirin she had a big bottom, needed to exercise more and looked three months pregnant. This was inadvertent bullying and she later said the housemates misunderstood what she said due to cultural differences.
Halfwit has managed to keep an air of dignity even with various taunts in the house. People have started to warm to him more maybe genuinely or because they feel the public will like them more if they associate with him.
Either way, tomorrow’s evictions will probably bring the same result and have Halfwit in the firing line. He will not win the show but Halfwit seems to have at least won the hearts of the British public.
