TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES - CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING VARIOUS ROADS
THE COUNCIL OF THE LONDON BOROUGH OF HARROW HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they intend to make a Temporary Traffic Management order under the provisions of Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991. This is to allow carriageway resurfacing work to take place.
1. The order may be cited as The Harrow (Carriageway Resurfacing No.4) Temporary Traffic Order 2018, and would be operational on 28th June 2018 and would remain in effect until 14th August 2018 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the sooner. It is anticipated that all of the work should be complete by 14th July 2018.

Each road shall be closed for no longer than 10 working days; and most roads will be resurfaced within two to three days. Expected dates of closures for each road are listed below; however, these dates may be subject to change due to operational circumstances. Advanced temporary signage will be erected on-street; and information letters dropped through the letterboxes of affected frontages beforehand, confirming when roads will be closed.
2. Vehicles would be prohibited from entering or exiting the following lengths of roads as and when signs are in place;

Locations
a) Rowland Avenue, (whole road);

b) Eaton Close, (whole road);

c) Dennis Lane, between its junctions with Wood Lane and Eaton Close;_

d) Whitchurch Lane, between its junctions with Honeypot Lane/Marsh Lane and Buckingham Road;_

e) Whitchurch Lane, between its western junction with Buckingham Road and its junction with High Street, Edgware;_

f) Mollison Way, between its junctions with Cotman Gardens/Waltham Drive and Constable Gardens/Lawrence

3. Nothing in paragraph 2 above would apply to:-

(a) any vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency;

(b) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer;

(c) any person who causes any vehicle to proceed in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed pursuant to Section 66 or Section 67 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984;

(d) any vehicles used in connection with the carriageway resurfacing work;

(e) any vehicles needing to gain access to properties in the closed extents as far as is practicably possible.

4. The provisions of the order will not have effect unless all the signs in accordance with the provisions of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are displayed, removed or covered, or unless at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a civil enforcement officer.

5. Diversion routes via;

a) via Kenton Lane, Streatfield Road, Kenmore Road and Brancker Road and vice versa;

b) via Wood Lane, Stanmore Hill and The Broadway, Stanmore and vice versa;_

c) via Marsh Lane, London Road, Stanmore, Canons Corner, Stonegrove and High Street, Edgware and vice versa;_

d) via Marsh Lane, London Road, Stanmore, Canons Corner, Stonegrove and High Street, Edgware and vice versa;_

e) via Turner Road, Camrose Avenue, Burnt Oak Broadway and Stag Lane and vice versa;

f) southbound/westbound via Canning Road, George Gange Way, Palmerston Road and High Street, Wealdstone;

southbound/eastbound via Locket Road and Kenton Lane;_
g) eastbound via High Street, Wealdstone, Palmerston Road, George Gange Way, High Street, Wealdstone, College Avenue, College Hill Road and Kenton Lane; westbound via Kenton Lane, Locket Road, High Street, Wealdstone, George Gange Way, Palmerston Road and High Street, Wealdstone;_

h) eastbound via George Gange Way, High Street, Wealdstone, College Avenue, College Hill Road and Kenton Lane;

westbound via Palmerston Road and High Street, Wealdstone._
